Rear ended in NJ

Hi all,

Was recently involved in an accident on the highway where I was rear ended. I live in NJ and have my own health provider as my main and Progressive as the secondary on my auto policy and the policy I have is limited tort.

So long story short, I had some lower back pain and I am being checked out by my PCP this week.

I filed the claim through the other party's company (Geico) today and they already contacted me and said they will be accepting 100% fault. So the adjuster told me that with NJ being a not at fault state and my limited tort, I am only able to collect just lost wages.

The adjuster from Geico explained that they will need a copy of my dec page showing the coverage I selected and they will not be pursuing my carrier for any damages/liabilities.

So is this all normal/standard? I have never been injured before in an accident and want to make sure what they're telling me is correct. I have read that in NJ, they'll settle x amount to close the claim.

In my case, they're only offering lost wages due to my limited tort selection.
