I started doing single bell abcs in February while I was doing the 2000 push-up challenge. I bought a 20 kg bell and a 24 kg bell and the 24 I use primarily just for off days when I was doing shoulder presses. The 20 kg bell I began doing ABCs for 20 minutes with 30 second rest per rep (6x each side per rep with transition swing in between sides) and soon found that too hard and had to extend into 45 second rest over the 20 minute series of reps. Today I hit 24kg with 30sec rest between reps over 20 mins. Didn't think i would be at this level for a month or two. Felt good.
