Been riding the stock G4 for about 6 months and it has been great for daily commuting, but I am hitting the wall on the top end and want a bit more headroom. Saw a few people in older threads mention swapping to a 72v controller and battery setup.

I am decent with a wrench but never opened up the controller compartment on this thing. A few things I am trying to figure out before I order parts:

* Does the stock harness handle the higher voltage or does it need replacing too

* Any specific controller model people have had good luck with

* What did the throttle response feel like after the swap, smoother or twitchier

Open to hearing this is a bad idea too. Just trying to figure out if it is worth pulling apart a working scoot.
