Cut my losses?
In 2020, I had a 4 ton 18 seer Goodman HVAC heat pump installed in my house in Texas. Since then, something on it has failed every year. Multiple valves, a circuit board, the capacitor, something else to do with voltage. The parts are covered under warranty, but the labor charges add up. Fast forward to this year, and another valve failed requiring the capture & replacement of refrigerant to the tune of $2500. I am now in over $5k I repairs since installing this thing a little over five years ago. At what point do I cut my losses and have the entire system replaced?
