Help collared lizard eye damage
My boy managed to scratch his eye off something and currently has his eye basically glued shut, I live in Ireland (cork area) and there’s basically 0 knowledgeable vets that I could bring him to. I’ll be calling around to get him looked at wherever I can regardless but anytime ive had reptile issues ive been turned away due to lack of competent exotic vets.
Does anyone have any advice on how to help him until I can get him brought to a vet tomorrow.
It happened sometime today between the hours of 3pm and 7pm, I snapped a picture of him at 3pm and his eye was completely fine and when I went to feed him I noticed the eye was clearly damaged, he did open it for a short while to which the eye was clear and looking a little bloodshot but was still intact and didn’t look damaged outside of the discolouration.
I wasn’t able to get any photos of the eye open due to him keeping it shut himself
His substrate is a mix of soil, sand and 10% coco husk,
There are a few rocks but all smooth and some small bits of wood in the enclosure. Enclosure is a 4x18x18 hes approximately 2 years old and has never had any previous issues health wise
There was no blood anywhere i could see beside the seemingly dried blood by his eye.
The 3rd photo was taken at 3pm and the 4th photo is weeks old but just showing his non damaged eye
Photo 1 and 2 are both of his damaged eye
