Update failure or some virus?
As I am a very security-centered person (irony), I've downloaded a TV series from pirate bay.
I've been in the middle of watching the first episode, when my computer started freaking out – vlc player went black and I couldn't minimise it, resolution changed, the only thing I was able to see was my cursor, but only when I moved it. It was playing Windows connect/disconnect sounds repeatedly.
I freaked out and gave my laptop a hard reset. After turning it back on again there was a long series of Bios and firmware updates, and after that series of Windows (11) updates with constant reboots. After that everything was normal for a while, so I've deleted the show and started going through the task manager window and looking for something suspicious, when it happened again.
After few repeating cycles I've tried turning the Wi-Fi router off and after another off-and-on it kinda stopped, so I kinda think that someone might be accessing it through the network.
For other suspicious things, I've checked programs and features to see if there will be anything installed today – and for some reason three of my browsers(Firefox, Chrome and Opera Air)(exception is edge, which I don't use) and Microsoft OneDrive are marked as installed today for some reason.
So... what should I do? What should I expect??
