NCTE is collecting teacher feedback on a working framework for AI use in ELA classrooms

NCTE published a working framework on responsible AI use in ELA classrooms and is asking teachers to weigh in before they release an updated version. The project is funded by a Google.org grant and is being developed by 12 cohorts of classroom teachers through December 2026.

If you teach ELA, your input could shape what gets published. Worth a few minutes if you have opinions about how this is heading.

The framework is organized around three things: student voice and critical thinking, critical AI literacy, and what academic integrity looks like.

End of year APUSH activities

Our APUSH team put together nine project ideas that you can use after the exam is over. They will keep students thinking like historians in a low pressure and fun way. Some of these could easily be adapted for any history class as well.

Book Suggestions for Teaching Writing Skills

I'm looking for books to help teachers improve AP writing skills in the classroom. I'm a big fan of The Writing Revolution, does anyone have any other suggestions?
