Missing Sydney bushwalker found alive in NSW Southern Highlands

I certainly did not expect her to be found alive after a week in the winter. What a great outcome.

>Missing hiker Lily Hooper has been found alive after eight days lost in NSW Southern Highlands.

>The family of the 18-year-old was informed by police she was found just after 11am on Thursday.

>Close to 100 Australian Defence Force members joined the search on Wednesday, combining with other emergency services who have been looking for the teenager since she went missing a week ago.

>Hooper was last seen leaving her home in Oakdale in Sydney’s south-west at 8am on Wednesday last week to go on a hike through the national park.

>Throughout the day, she remained in contact with her family, but they raised the alarm when she had not returned by 10pm.

>Police found her Hyundai parked at the bottom of the challenging Bonnum Pic trail that night.

>More to come.

Trying to plan for a smooth motherboard replacement / license reassignment

A little while back I switched my licensing to TPM as I ultimately want to get rid of the USB for booting (still using it for now) and I figured I'd change my motherboard less often than my usb stick.

Fast forward a couple of months, and my motherboard is playing up so I decided to get a new one (and CPU). I'm now not eligible for a self-transfer because I switched to TPM in the last month. Yes I know I shouldn't have switched to TPM, but I didn't think this upgrade was on the cards.

So I figured I would contact support and see if they can reset my ability to self-replace, as I'd rather not wait an unknown amount of time with an array that can't start for them to manually replace the key. Apparently that's not possible, despite my license being 9 years old and only very rarely reassigned to a couple of new flash drives over that time.

So it seems that despite my attempt at planning, I have to install my new motherboard and then contact support and wait an unknown time for them to reassign my license. Could be an hour, could be 12 hours. That seems crazy, surely they should be able to reset the 12-month allowance in a case like this? Am I missing something?
