EA FC (FIFA) FUT player since 2019. Is eFootball finally my way out? 😅
I’ve played FIFA/EA FC since 2019. I’m done with the endless pack cycle and I won’t buy FC27.
I even tried FC Mobile and somehow spent €260 in ONE MONTH 😂 That was my wake-up call.
Now I tried eFootball and I really like the gameplay. Before I fully switch, I have a few questions for experienced players, especially former FUT players.
**1. How P2W is eFootball REALLY?**
In FC26 I was spending €30-50 almost every week to keep up with the power curve.
I don’t want to do that anymore.
I’m okay spending maybe €30-40 at the start and then playing mostly F2P. Later I would only spend occasionally on great value packs or Barcelona players. (I also like Real Madrid, please don’t kill me 😂)
Can I realistically compete and reach Division 1 like this?
How big is the difference between a good F2P team and a team full of Epics?
**2. How is the POWER CURVE? This is the most important question for me.**
If I get a top player today, will he still be good one year from now?
I don’t expect an S+ player to stay S+ forever.
For me this would be completely fine:
Today: S+
6 months: S
1 year: A
What I DON’T want is the FUT system where I constantly feel like I need new cards.
Do you still use cards that are 1-2 years old in high divisions?
How often do you actually need to upgrade your starting XI?
**3. How good is eFootball for F2P players?**
Do you get enough free players and coins?
What should a new player NEVER spend coins on?
Are there any packs that are actually good value?
**4. What is the endgame?**
Is Division 1 basically eFootball’s Rivals?
Is there anything similar to FUT Champions/Weekend League?
Are there tournaments or other competitive modes?
What do you grind after reaching Division 1?
**5. PS5 or Steam?**
I can play on PS5, Steam and mobile.
Mobile will probably be just for fun.
For serious ranked gameplay I’m deciding between PS5 and Steam. I’m leaning towards PS5 because I have a big TV.
Which has the better playerbase, matchmaking and connection?

What do you miss from EA FC?
What does eFootball do better?
Do you feel less pressure to constantly spend money and upgrade your team?
I don’t need eFootball to be completely F2P. I’m happy to spend €30 occasionally.
I just want to build a team that can stay competitive for a LONG time without feeling like I need to open €30-50 of packs every week.
