I’m At A Loss
Anytime I have an underperforming video on YouTube I can usually trace it back to something I did wrong, but this time I’m baffled. My latest video has very good underlying metrics, and yet it just isn’t being pushed at all by YouTube. For reference my last couple videos on my channel have gotten 50k views and 5k views. What on Earth is the problem?
I don’t want to post the exact video and title here for fear of the algorithm getting screwed up, but its a sports narrative video on the history of type of surgery that a lot of players get. I show nothing graphic in the video or thumbnail, aside from medical illustrations of the torn muscle etc. Is that why it isn’t being pushed? And if so how do other big sports medicine pages survive?
Edit: sorry I should’ve clarified, I’m a channel with 800+ subs and my videos perform pretty similarly to one another so this one caught me off guard. I believe what happened was it flagged the medical diagram of what the injury was as “blood” content so I removed it. Hopefully the video isn’t a wash.
