I started questioning whether consistency was actually helping.

I used to think consistency was the main answer.

Just keep showing up.
Keep doing the work.
Keep moving.

But after a while, I started noticing something uncomfortable.

Some things I did every day didn’t make the next step easier.

They just had to be repeated again.

That made me wonder if consistency only works when something is actually accumulating underneath it.

The uncomfortable part is noticing what actually lasts.

The more I pay attention,
the more I notice something uncomfortable.

Some things keep working after you stop.

Most don’t.

And once you see that,
it’s hard to ignore.

I used to think progress meant staying active.

Doing the next task.
Checking the next box.
Keeping momentum alive.

But lately I’ve started seeing it differently.

Some work disappears the moment you stop.

Some work makes the next step easier.

That difference is uncomfortable to notice.

I thought I was stuck because I wasn’t doing enough.

More effort.
More consistency.
More pushing.

But maybe the problem wasn’t effort.

Maybe the problem was that nothing I was doing carried forward.
