I spent the day disassembling some of the components of a secondhand Gaggia Classic and cleaning them.

When it came to the brew group, I noticed on a couple of YouTube videos that the copper pipe could be removed and cleaned separately. I tried pulling it out but I really struggled, so I spent a considerable amount of time wiggling it/trying to force it out.

I couldn't manage to get it out in the end. The only thing I've succeeded in doing is making it incredibly loose. I tried to cut my losses and just knock it back in to create a tight seal, but it's still loose...

Have I damaged this beyond repair?
