*His suit, however, was completely in shreds, which pained him deeply, it was made by someone he saw as a good friend, and now it was almost unsalvageable*

*But he would have to worry about that later, right now he had to check the crime rate around the area and then swing by Guardian HQ, let everyone know he was alive and ok, he swiped a hospital gown on his way out, he ties it around his face before ripping out two eye pieces, making a makeshift mask to hide his identity before swinging away*

"And some vanilla extract here, a dash of cinnamon there and...uh..."

*She squints here eyes as she reads the recipe, which is stamped with a symbol of three balloons*

"A boatload of sugar...what even IS a boatload?!"

*She looks at the sugar jar and decides to do what her friend who wrote the recipe would do and dumps the entire jar in* "egewwwww" *She winces from just how much sugar is dumped into the mixture, before pouring it into a cupcake tray*

"Ok, now to put these in the oven and wait"

*She opens the door to the oven and gently uses her magic to place a tray of cupcakes inside before closing the door and putting it on 375 degrees*

*She stands around waiting, thinking to herself about the wacky zany characters that are here*

"Maybe someone will come by while I wait" *She says aloud to herself*

"Oh what a lovely place, all of the destruction and misery....wouldn't you agree sister?"

*A girl stands next to her, dressed in black with a black cape her hair and eyes also red* "Y-Yeah..." *She says in a somber tone, looking downcast*

"Wow, this place is out of this world!" *He laughs at his own quip* "Alright focus Spidey, no space thing has ever been good; Thanos, Brainiac, Darkseid! This is probably the same story, so I gotta investigate"

*He goes to an area that no one can see and someone else walks out, a man dressed in a blue sweater and grey sweatpants with black shoes (Pictured in number two) Yellow Spider-Man is completely gone*

"Can't you idiots do ANYTHING right!" *He berates them, enticing fear into the men*

*He then sighs* "Go look for another creature to capture, and DON'T fuck it up this time!"

*With that the men leave, and Jared watches the outskirts, his cold eyes unyielding to any other emotion*

"Well I somehow ended up in another dimension, great...well I should find a way home...or I could stay and help people...Miles and Benny have things covered back home. So I can take my time trying to get back"

Mercenary Redefined Episode 2 (2): New Purpose Part 2

*Jared looks over to Anna, Lucas and Ike, then back at the fortress, its empty on the front, but the four know its probably swarmed with goons, so they need to devise a plan before running in blindly*

Jared: "Alright, what do you guys got?"

Jared: "Previously on Mercenary Redefined" ((Also Yes I do have permission to repeat what Anna had said and did))

{*outside the sky turns  red and cracks with lightning*}

{*Just then the front door busts open, Jared's dad, a tall man wearing a military outfit, runs in*}

{"We gotta go come on!!!"}

{*The family quickly runs out the door, to a green jeep that hums with urgency*}

{*His mom acts quickly and hops into the driver seat, hitting the gas and runs the man over, she looks behind her, wondering if she killed the man or not, her breathing is hightened and tears stream down her face, causing her to lose control of the vehicle and run the car straight into a tree*}

{“MOM!! ASH!!!” *Jared screams*}

{*A VWROUP and he falls backward through something, his vision turns blue*}

{*Jared wakes up with a start*}

{*Anna walks up to him* "Hey Jared. Everything okay?"}

{"Yeah...Had another nightmare..."}

{*A kid, 12 year old mobian bat, runs up to them*}

{"Three men came in and took my parents"}

{Anna: Emblem, Engage!}

(The ring glows with a bright light, and in the next instant, Ike is no longer there. Instead, there's now Anna, who's hovering just a couple inches off the ground, has all-white clothing with glowing accents to replace her usual combat uniform, has a sizable golden loop decoration with two glowing blue axes and a glowing blue sword on it like a coat of arms behind her, and has had her normal red hair changed to the blue of Ike's own hair. She then draws the same sword Ike was just wielding and rushes in, putting all attention on her}

{*Jared enters the building while Anna distracts outside*}

{*He sees two adult mobian bats tied to chairs*}

{Female bat: "Watch out!!"}

{*Jared is suddenly slapped to the side by a large hulking man*}

{"SLASHING MORE THAN PRICES!"}

{*She grabs her axe and brings it down hard on the behemoth. It's a Critical Hit!*}

{Anna gets back in with another Critical Hit to the head}

{*Jared fires a round into its head, the combination of attacks finally puts it down, it slams against the wall before sliding to the ground lifeless*}

{*Jared quickly raises his pistol and points it at the evil Inkling, who is now holding the male bat mobian hostage with a knife to the mobians throat*}

{Anna draws her bow, but aims wide. In the same instant the arrow flies, Ike teleports over to the "target" of Anna's combat}

{*The Inkling smirks and takes a step towards the window* "I'll see you"}

{*Jared shouts* "NO!!!" *and fires three rounds*}

{*One round strikes the inklings shoulder as he jumps from the window to a comfy cushioned car below which quickly speeds off as they watch*}

*Jared slams the door open to his motel room, anger fueling his actions but there's something else, something more...defeated*

*He growls and curses loudly and he unloads and slams his gun down on the wardrobe*

*He then backs up, his eyes down casted as he sits on the bed, hopelessness filling the air of the room*

*She seems lost in the book, is would be such a shame if someone snuck up on her...*

Why do so many people care about Shard anyway? he must've been loved for people to want another war arc due to him
