After seeing the final episode of a certain other indie animated series, I have come to the conclusion that TPOT 20 is not nearly as bad as I thought it was.

After seeing the final episode of a certain other indie animated series, I have come to the conclusion that TPOT 20 is not nearly as bad as I thought it was.

No crazy spoils for the other show obviously, but my god the ending was complete buns 😭. It’s made me look back on TPOT 20, and I’ve realized that despite the many timeline and story issues it causes, the episode does a pretty incredible job of revealing One’s backstory and exploring the algebralien characters. And honestly, I’m can’t even blame the episode for the timeline issues anymore; the poor writers have to connect every serious plot beat to some throwaway gags from half a decade ago. The fact that this episode managed to be good at all is a miracle, and it was one of the first mainstream indie animations to get a nationwide theatrical release. And for that, it will always have my respect.

Good on ya TPOT 20.

BFDI fans will ignore what is explicitly stated in an episode over year’s-old meetup QnAs and idiotic fan theories

No offense to this guy in particular but I’m so sick of people genuinely arguing about TPOT not having a rejoin. Like they mentioned it several times in TPOT 22, it’s very clearly being set up. If it wasn’t, that would be such an insult to the audience.

What was the point of this very obvious Tennis Ball setup when they didn’t put Golf Ball UFE with him?

Not even trying to hate rn but I think even the most die hard TB fans can agree that the TPOT writers want him out ASAP. So that begs the question, why didn’t they put Golf Ball UFE with him? She would have definitely sucked up some of his voters, increasing his odds of being eliminated.

Even worse, why did they put him up against Liy? She’s NEVER outperformed him, and it’s clear that the TPOT writers want to do more with her. Yet, she is at terrible risk of being eliminated because she’s up against people who are way more popular. It just doesn’t make sense.

This is just Team 2 but actually good 😭

If it wasn’t obvious, I’ve been really enjoying my rewatch of season 1 so far. Expect more season 1 positivity in the future.

Crazy how Tennis Ball got blatantly like botted in the BFDIA 19 vote and nobody talks about it.

Also these numbers were 100% accurate as the like counts were public for this elimination. Bro just gained double the votes everyone else got in two hours.

Hmm it sure is interesting that Tennis Ball is susceptible to being botted for positive support. Well, at least it was just for the prizes and nothing else major. It sure would be a shame if there was another season where you had to vote to save characters, one where Tennis Ball consistently gets massive amounts of votes despite being widely disliked by the community, and the voting system is private, making it impossible to detect for any kind of foul play. Thank GOODNESS that isn’t happening!

I think Fries’ elimination would have hurt a lot less if he was given the same main character treatment as all the other mergers.

I’m over him getting out when he did (honestly 6th is the perfect placement for him. But it really sucks with how immediately afterward there was a 3-parter for the final 5, and even after Pin and Coiny’s eliminations they got a ton of content, but Fries became a complete background character. He’s not even in the thumbnail for the recap music video!

IDK I just think it’s unfair considering he earned a spot in the merge and didn’t a fraction of the attention the others got, even following their eliminations. Maybe he’ll get more in 25 but I doubt it.

Do you think the TPOT writers tried to set up Fanny to get out?

I mean she was getting out super early in every challenge for 3 episodes in a row, consistently getting the least screen time on Death Pact, and the fact that her most recent role was being with the eliminated contestants, it just feels like they were planning on her getting out.
