Class D amplifier with remote

Class D amplifier with remote

Hello,

I am looking for something like this, but with an IR remote to control the volume. Is there anything you can recommend? I just need aux in and passive out.

Planning to get a wiim amp at some point, but we're probably moving overseas soon so I just want something ultra cheap to get through the next 6 months or so.

yungpolar - Lofi House Tape vol 1

Best lofi release of the last 5 years? Every track is excellent, the consistency is very impressive. The basslines and drum programming are near perfect.

Amsterdam is my favourite track.

L14 Gen 3 - First laptop upgrade for 16 years

I had been using a 2010 MBP as my main laptop for the past 16 years. Kept it struggling along with various upgrades and OCLP but it was really getting to the point that I needed something new. Didn't want to spend £1200+ on a new macbook, plus I kind of have a moral objection to Apple's anti-consumer hardware design.

Wanted to get a T14 Gen2. Seen one on FB marketplace, went to the store but they had sold it and didn't have any others. But they did have this L14 Gen3. Coming to this from my ancient macbook is such a leap forward, crazy the power you can get for a few hundred dollars. Hoping this Thinkpad lasts me at least a decade.

Specs are below. VS the T14 I was going to get, I think I kinda lucked out? Better processor and upgradeable RAM. The only thing I'm not happy with is the storage. I had a 500gb 2280 NVMe drive that I thought I'd be able to install in it, but this laptop only takes the tiny 2230 variety. So I'm just living with the 256gb that came with it and then I have my 500gb drive in an external enclosure velcro'd to the top of the laptop. Pretty janky but it works.

Intel Core i5-1245u

16gb DDR4 RAM

256gb NVMe ssds

42mWh battery with 65 cycle count

1920x1080 panel

What would the benefits of the T14 have been over this? I see people saying the build quality is better but I'm pretty pleased with the feel of the L14, I don't see how it would be much different? I paid $440CAD which is like $320 freedom bucks. Not sure if it was a good deal or not but I kinda desperately needed something.
