It seems some Republicans are reviving anti-communist rhetoric. In hindsight, was the anti-communism strategy, including the Vietnam War, worth it? Did communism spread as feared? Today, is communism a realistic threat to replace our current form of government? If so, how?

How long do you think the Iran war will last realistically?

Personally I believe most people are completely underestimating what we've gotten ourselves into here. When I hear Trump insist that Iran is already defeated, we've won and why won't they just give up already, I'm reminded of Bush getting well ahead of himself by declaring "Mission accomplished" in Iraq.

I read an essay in Foreign Affairs that claimed Iran's strategy is "survive and disrupt" which they've certainly been successful in doing so far.

What do you guys think?
