Took the exam yesterday, I feel horrible
The exam is definitely not what i expected AT ALL. I was flagging 10+ qns is certain blocks. Alot of them were incredibly lengthy , and if you know the vignette , theres a high chance you wouldnt know the options.
I still feel NBMEs can be used as a tool to know when you are ready, mine ranged from 75-84% and Free 120 (taken 2 days before) was 82. But one shouldnt expect the actual exam to be like these practice tests. The actual one is more vague. But don’t get me wrong, there is also a big chunk of straightforward qns, NBME type (do NOT get these wrong)
Also please , whoever is going to write it, go through the NBME previous images, quite a few of them were repeated , although different qns.
I dont want to instill fear in anyone. Even though its vague, its still doable if you know FA properly, they didnt go outside FA much. (some weird qns outside were there but a minority, and likely experimental)
On a side note, keep blinking (eyes can get dry real quick) and DO NOT panic during the test, keep composure, a few bad blocks where u get near nothing right is completely fine as long as you can calmly perform well rest of the blocks. ALL THE BESTT!!!
