Just wanted to share my thoughts feel free to disagree or engage 🤘🏼(Long post ahead)
BOTN: M-Zhayt vs Saint Ice
- Sobrang mesmerizing ng bilis ng growth and adjustment ni Saint Ice kada battle. Unlike yung first battles back niya, mas accesible na now, wala na yung mga questionable rhyming, and more importantly nakuha na niya yung tamang balanse ng lahat ng aspeto. Back-to-back events na battle of the night. MZ was his usual self, prepared, commanding. Siguro at this point nagkakaroon na lang din ng slight fatigue sakanya mga tao, but that’s not to say na hindi siya malakas cause he is. Recipe for success when you make 2 battle emcees, na di tinetake for granted yung mga laban, face each other.
Shehyee vs Slockone
- Kung last match ang pagbabasehan alone, humina performance ni Shehyee. That’s not to say hindi malakas sulat niya because yung mga punto niya puro pamatay, lalo na 3rd round. Yung execution lang siguro kasi for me naging 1st 2 rounds ng Isabuhay 2018 naging delivery and execution niya. As per Slockone, sorry na agad but I never really gave him a chance at this battle because I never thought that his best performance yet will stand a chance sa current form ni Shehyee.
Poison 13 vs Yuniko
- Heavy favorite coming into the battle si Poison. Not really a huge fan since for me sobrang monotonous na niya (a bit of a spoiler, nung cinall out ni Yuniko na puro multi lang daw alam ni Pois). That’s not to discredit his massive presence and strong delivery. Yuniko meanwhile… Honestly for me if naging malinis lang performance ni Yuniko at di nag choke, there’s a real possibility na malalate game nya talaga yon. Abangan niyo round 3 niya, parang 70% ng round puro roomshaker. To put an honest comparison, para siyang Argentina vs Cape Verde.
Sak Maesteo vs Manda Baliw
- Getting it out of the way, but si Manda talaga and predicted winner ko dito. But man… Nung nag spit na ng round 1 si Sak, I was stunned. For me that was his best ever round in all his battles, and basically the strongest round for either emcees in this battle. Malakas din Round 1 ni Manda, may mga nadiffuse na angles sa mga sinabi ni Sak pero mejo malayo agwat ng 1st round nila. However, sobrang lala ng nosedive ng perfomance niya from Round 1 to Rounds 2 and 3. Some angles tinatry niyang unahan at idiffuse yung possible sabihin sakanya ni Manda, but Manda stayed sa sulat niya and basically kung si Sak pababa performance per round, it was the other way around for Manda. Still grateful that we finally had a Sak na hindi na nagpapabaya. 🫡
Ruffian vs Keelan
- Maybe it’s time na bumalik muna si Ruffian sa small room because as a fan, this is one of the most disappointing experience I’ve ever witnessed, especially as someone na nakita yung peak Ruffian. Hard choke ng Round 1, dragging and all over the place Round 2, and literal na walang Round 3. Lumitaw din ng malala sakit ni Ruff dito trying to play the villain role sa crowd and nagpapakitang apektado siya pag di nahihiyawan or narereactan. Idk what happened man, but I hope maka bounce back si Ruff dito. Keelan on the other hand, I think this kid is slowly entering his prime esp nakahanap na niya yung tamang timpla ng comedy, technical, not to mention his insane rapping. I can’t say for use if guaranteed na panalo si Keelan if di nag choke si Ruff, but what ifs are useless in battle rap so 🤷🏻
Batang Rebelde vs 3rdy
- A bit similar with Ruffian, 3rdy sobrang naaapektuhan pag natutulugan kaya nagmumukhang awkward sa stage. Only difference is yung isa pissed off sa crowd, si 3rdy parang nag mamakaawa for reaction. Batang Rebelde inembrace na fully and pagiging underrated at nagamit niyang armas na naging sobrang effective sa battle na ‘to.
Runner up BOTN: K-Ram vs Towpher
- Expectations were magiging laptrip yung battle, pero nung mismong laban na, sobrang exceeded expectations and a bit more. K-Ram was not in his 100% here, pero effective pa din. Towpher meanwhile, not having a singles battle in 6 years, reminded the fans why he could’ve been one of the elites pag nag tuloy tulog lang. Bro looks like he hasn’t missed a step. Highlight of the battle was obviously yung last part ng Round 3 ni Towpher at yung rebutt ni Boss Eric 😂
Di namin naabutan first battle so that’s all my dudes 🤘🏼
