Ask me anything
I’ve been in the education field for 11 years as a physical education and health teacher.
I’ve worked with students from 3K through 12th grade. I’ve worked in both private and public education across NY and CT. I’ve coached high school student-athletes on the wrestling mat, baseball field, and volleyball court. I’ve also been a house parent to international students from all over the world.
And over those 11 years, I’ve learned a lot — some through great mentors and experiences, and plenty through making mistakes and figuring things out the hard way.
I listened to a podcast today that got me thinking about how much knowledge and experience we all accumulate without ever really sharing it with the people who could benefit from it.
So I want to change that.
If you’re a new PE or health teacher, a college student getting ready to enter the profession, a coach, or even an experienced teacher looking for another perspective — ask me something.
Lesson planning. Classroom management. PE activities. Health curriculum. Coaching. Working with difficult students. Building relationships. Surviving your first year. Burnout. Technology in education. Things I wish I knew when I started.
Whatever.
Drop a question in the comments or send me a message. If I have experience with it, I’ll give you the best answer I can. No course. No sales pitch. No gatekeeping.
And if I don’t know the answer, I’ll tell you that too.
I’d like to start using this page for more than just posting what I’m working on. I want to share some of the things 11 years in education have taught me and hopefully make someone else’s job a little easier.
Teachers: what’s one thing you’re struggling with right now that you wish you could ask another educator?
