Firstly is it the right time or season to go to Kodai 🍄?

For a 2 day plan, what should be the itinerary and great places or spots to explore or stay?

I was planning to rent a car from Kodai or nearby (don't wanna drive from Bangalore also Bangalore rentals are overpriced) so basically how to reach there and where to take car rental and all

Also would be great if you could share some contacts or ways to be safe, where to roam and chill after eating button mushrooms :)
