Infuriating. This was all lush native plantings.

Happens all over DC. This is at FDMB, my suspicion is that all the plantings were done by a private contractor with the bridge construction. Now that the contract is over DDOT takes over (guess) and some grumpy dumbass (that doesn’t understand native plantings or doesn’t like them) wants to rip them all out and replace them with grass and mulch.
