Hey Coneheads, just wanted to say I love and appreciate you all. This was such a special place for me in a time when I needed it most.

Hopefully the gamification Rick is working on will bring old Cone back and new Cones to our sub here in the near future.

At FillingBucketsForGood (FBFG), we believe that small actions can create big changes. Whether it’s a beach, park, trail, roadside, neighborhood, or any public space, every piece of litter removed helps make our communities cleaner and healthier.

How It Works

Participating is simple:

Find an Area That Needs Cleaning

Choose any location where litter has accumulated. It can be somewhere you visit regularly or a place you’ve always wanted to improve.

Bring Your Cleanup Supplies

You’ll want:

A bucket, bag, or container for trash

Gloves

Appropriate clothing and footwear

Water and sun protection if needed

Clean Up Safely

Collect litter and debris while being mindful of your surroundings.

Please do not handle hazardous materials, needles, chemicals, or anything that could be dangerous. Report those items to local authorities instead.

Take Before & After Photos

Document your impact! Take a few photos before you begin and after you’ve finished cleaning.

Create a Post

Submit a post to the subreddit that includes:

Before-and-after photos

A brief description of your cleanup

Where you cleaned (general location is fine)

How much trash you collected, if known

Dispose of Trash Properly

Recycle what you can and dispose of the remaining waste responsibly.

When Can I Participate?

Anytime!

There is no schedule or event requirement. You can participate whenever it fits your schedule. Every cleanup counts, whether you collect a handful of litter or fill multiple buckets.

What Happens After I Post?

Eligible cleanup submissions will be reviewed receive $Bucket donation rewards through the FillingBucketsForGood program. Currently one clean up per day will get $3.33 usd worth of $Bucket and any following submission within 24 hours will receive $0.99 and reset the next day. Donation rewards will be adjusted to lower amounts in the future so take advantage while you can. More importantly, you’ll be helping improve your local environment and inspiring others to do the same.
