Lemme ask the community

Got this remote which solves a situation in my car. Car for some reason when I plug and use media devices ( ipods, Memory sticks, etc ) through the USB output it kills the Bluetooth. But when it's not used for data, only charging, Bluetooth works fine. Got me a 3.5mm and USB on one end and 30 Pin on the other end cable. USB plugged to cigarette lighter charger, 3.5 to the aux output, 30 pin to iPod... Great... But... Although I can control the iPod directly, I'm constantly in and out of the car so I prefer for iPod to be stashed away where it can't be seen for the duration of my car usage instead of having to hide it every time. That's where this device comes in handy... BUT... Lil gadget only works imidiately after being plugged and then it doesn't. Apply pressure, it works. So definitely it's like there's some contact issue. Daily driver is a 4th Gen Photo which the Headphone/Hold jack had to be replaced and it has been modded with the other parts as well..

What I've tried:

- Cleaning ports on iPod with alcohol, air pressure, brush, toothpick.

- Retighten screws of the hold/headphone jack assembly inside the iPod.

- Cleaned and brushed contacts on remote itself.

- Checked if housing is warped in that specific area.

I don't know what else to try other than to blame the AliExpress jack I replaced the original with.
