First Contract at Silversea, embark in 3 months
Hi everyone, I've got an offer from Silversea in F&B service, along with the vessel name and time + port. This is my first contract ever, so I'm really worry about document preparation including medical examination, applying for visa and seaman's book.
I'm still waiting for contract from Silversea but I think they will need me to provide medical examination result before that? So they can make sure I am eligible to work on assigned vessel?.
I have also looked around for anyone from my country that working at the same brand Silversea, no luck finding that, even agencies that could support me with my document preparation.
So for current/former Silversea employee, what was your onboarding step/process? I'm also working at a land-based hotel now, planning to resign in a few days but I'm worry about whether or not it is too soon? I'm a father with a wife and a baby, so I need to make sure my financial got sorted out during the wait for embarkment.
