Finally saved enough to go to the 2026 World Cup, what do I actually need to know before I show up?
Finally saved up enough to go to the World Cup and I honestly still can't believe it's actually happening. Got tickets to some of the US games, flights and hotel are booked, managed to grab the match tickets too. But the closer it gets the more I'm stressing about the little things.
For anyone who's been to something like this before: how strict is security going in? I've seen people mention bag size limits but I have no idea what the actual cutoff is. And can you bring food or water you bought outside?
The other thing I keep thinking about is my phone. I'm going to be taking photos, running maps to find my seat, watching replays, and I just know my battery won't make it through a full match. Are there places to charge inside the stadium or are you basically on your own?
This is my first time at an event this size and I'm genuinely worried I'm going to show up underprepared and spend the whole game scrambling. If you've done this before, what's the stuff you wish you'd figured out before you got there?
