City Council budget discussions this week

Maybe I am biased because I can’t imagine being able to own a home. But to me it’s a no brainer to support services, protect public jobs, and have a rainy day fund in exchange for wealthier residents paying $11 extra a month on average.

Of course not everyone who owns a home is financially comfortable or even stable. But this still seems like the much better of two bad options. What’s your perspective?

Where do you stay when visiting Saguaro National Park?

Planning a road trip and wanted to see if anyone has suggestions! Where to stay, what to do, anything to avoid. Thank you!

HKS Government Performance Lab

Hi all! Seeking some guidance… I’m a mid-career professional, considering Harvard Kennedy School Government Performance Lab as an opportunity to bridge the gap where I’m not finding a lot of opportunities for advancement, as I consider changing field within the policy/public service world and/or future MPP/JD/MPA options.

Is this program a good career move? Has anyone been part of it, and did you find the experience valuable? Would this look good on a resume for graduate programs and/or future career moves, or is it not taken seriously?

Are the fellows typically more experienced, or is this an early career opportunity?

Any feedback appreciated! Thank you!

Imagine being angrier about a lack of decorum than the fact that our next generation won’t have water

Or clean air, or a livable community at all….

So depressed/disappointed (though not truly surprised) by the responses from some of these city council members. Is it literally impossible for them to understand why people are so upset?
