I built Aegis Network Terminal: A multi-layered Discord bot for Security, AI, and Gamification for Startup/Business/Idea discussion.
DM me to get the Discord server link.
Hey everyone, I wanted to share a deep dive into the Aegis Network Bot, a flagship server management app I built using discord.js and an SQLite backend. It’s designed to act as a gatekeeper, moderator, and AI assistant all in one.
Here is a breakdown of the architecture and features:
🛡️ 1. Security & Authentication
- Passcode Entry: Admins generate single-use passcodes. Users authenticate through a secure Discord Modal UI (no passwords typed in chat).
- Alt-Account Defense: Automatically rejects accounts younger than 7 days.
- Offline Sync: If the bot goes down, it retroactively scans and prompts anyone who joined during the downtime to verify upon reboot.
🛑 2. Auto-Moderation (Aegis Sentinel)
- Anti-Spam & Filters: Instantly deletes profanity and bulk-deletes spam (e.g., 5 messages in 5 seconds).
- Escalating 4-Strike System:
- Strike 1: Visual warning embed via DM.
- Strike 2: 2-Hour Timeout.
- Strike 3: 24-Hour Timeout.
- Strike 4: Permanent Ban.
🚀 3. Onboarding & Roles
- Welcome Dossiers: Auto-generates a personalized welcome thread in a dedicated forum for every verified user.
- Interactive Intros: Users fill out a "Say Hello" modal, which is beautifully formatted and broadcasted to the global chat.
- Role Matrix: Dropdown UI panels that manage mutually exclusive roles (e.g., locking in specific engineering disciplines).
🎮 4. Gamification Engine
- Message XP: Users earn random XP (15-25 points) for participating in chat.
- Anti-Farm Cooldowns: Strict 60-second cooldowns between XP gains to prevent spam-leveling.
- Clearance Escalations: Automated, stylized "Level Up" announcements when thresholds are met.
🧠 5. AI Integration (Gemini 3.1 Pro)
/ask_aegisUsers can directly query the AI (prompted to act as an elite security core) in designated channels.- Right-Click Summarization: A context menu app that pulls the last 50 messages of any conversation and uses AI to instantly generate an "Summarize Discussion" summarizing key takeaways and decisions.
⚙️ 6. Infrastructure & Utilities
- Dynamic VCs: Auto-generates temporary, user-moderated voice channels on demand and deletes them when empty.
- Live Telemetry: Updates locked VC names every 10 minutes with live server stats (Total Members, Online Now, Bots).
- GitHub Webhooks: Runs an internal Express.js server to intercept push payloads and broadcast stylized deployment alerts to the server.
- Support & Logging: Features button-based priority ticketing and deep audit logging for deleted/edited messages.

I am planning a solo trip to Ujjain to visit the Mahakaleshwar Temple, but I am completely unfamiliar with the local hotels and ashrams. In the past, when visiting other spiritual destinations, I've unfortunately been scammed and overcharged by auto-rickshaw drivers and hoteliers. As an outsider, it is hard to negotiate confidently when you don't know the area well.
Right now, my only plan is to visit Mahakaleshwar because I don't know much else about Ujjain. I love traveling on my own in peace, but my lack of local knowledge usually makes the trip a bit of a struggle.
If you are a local or experienced traveler, could you share some tips and tricks? I would specifically love to know:
How do common scams work here, and how can I avoid being overcharged?
What are some hidden gems or lesser-known places in Ujjain that tourists usually miss but are worth visiting?
What is the best way to get around the city peacefully?
Hey everyone,
So I was out for a walk today around Rani Laxmibai Park, and I noticed that a massive piece of land right behind the Domino's at Elite is getting completely cleaned up and leveled.
Does anyone here have any insider info on what's being built there?
Is it a new commercial complex, another major food joint, or just some routine clearing?
It's a pretty prime spot, so I'm genuinely curious about what is going to open up.
Let me know if you guys have heard any rumors or updates!
I’m currently working on training my own AI model, and I’m looking for people who are interested in exploring new ideas and discussing different approaches to training data. I want to focus on making it work really well.
I’m especially looking for creative minds, technology comes second. Imagination and ideas matter most.
I’d love to connect with curious, passionate people who enjoy exploring technology. Working alone gets a bit boring, so it would be great to collaborate.
We could even build a small community around robotics, tech, and AI.
