I'm a non OG arknights player. I gave it a chance, however, tower defence just ain't my thing.

I was just wondering how much lore im missing out on in Endfield by not playing it. I know Si is somehow involved, Gilberta is like someone and the new purple woman coming out in future releases (the one with the bow) is connected.

I hear a lot of things about 'reconveners' from some content creators which i have no idea what they are.

I feel kinda lost on each race as the main story doesn't really talk about it (i guess unless you read the characters profile) which kinda lacks on world building for me.

Might watch some youtube vids on the og story to catch up or something haha.

I genuinely just don't know anymore. I'm a BM at a franchise store and its normal to have 2 people on past 2pm when the opening person goes home.

During the week is completely fine. Past 4pm, my store is dead and can close pretty smoothly with my batista that's on. But on a weekend, especially today, it just feels like you need 3 people on till 4pm. I didn't manage to start closing down until 4.30 and on a Saturday we close at 5.30pm. I got out 20 mins late and my close was probably bad (i don't know ill probably find out in the morning).

What im trying to ask is, are most stores running on 2 people on a busy ass shift?

I got in trouble for having tables dirty. And we have an upstairs as well. So im like, I can either serve the queue that's going out the store with my colleague or leave my colleague to drown on their own while I clear. Or maybe, ya know, have more staff on. We have the staff for it surprisingly. Just hate hospitality Skeleton crew bullshit mentality so they pay like shit and expect us to do the job of 3 people.

On top of all that. Our air-conditioning does not work but according to the air con man, its fine. Then why and all the other staff sweating our asses off. My manger was legit dripping and walking around with a fan.

I'm just wondering how people have multiple gacha games on the go at once. Like, they're a grind and need time and effort to build teams.

However, when I'm playing other ones, I just want to be playing Endfield haha.

Story: it's got the gacha trope of the protagonist not having any memories of who they were which is very very tiring. I understand it's an RPG thing where you can be whoever, however, every gatcha has it. Someone needs to think of something new. I'd really love it if we get some more back story for the Endmin and she/he actually remembers something.

The main story is pretty decent. I've really enjoyed parts of it. Especially 1.2 ending scene with Nefarith. Music makes it so coool. Doesn't feel like just talking, then running to another character, then more talking. (I'm looking at you HSR). I'm not here for a movie i want gameplay and there is some here.

Characters: The character design is top notch and detailed. No comment on that. I have not played OG Arknights so I have no idea on the lore of races and if any characters come from that game.

Story wise with characters though I have a tiny problem with. I wish we'd meet all the playable characters in the main story or side missions. Some characters I haven't actually met, like Pog, but we know him somehow. Just kinda shows up out of nowhere. Wish everyone got their own story mission if they weren't heavily included in the main story like Arclight or any of the 4 stars.

Combat: I know some people dislike it but holy God i love this combat system. Everyone fighting at once and I don't have to switch characters for combos is so nice and different. The synergy between characters and their combo skills feels great. I just love seeing them all on the field and they break stuff for you and pick things up. Combat feels great. Love it.

Exploration: Wuling is beautiful without a doubt. Valley 4 is okay. Big field but a nice starting zone. Chest and Ayralene collecting can feel a little tiring at times as wuling is sooooo big but I need that pull currency so gotta do it haha. I'm not sure if other gatchas have different exploration means but for the ones I've played it's always been chests so they'll probs stick with it.

Factory: Love it. Very fun in the beginning. Love the gear system. Wuling gets very complex with all the pipes and stuff but that's what youtube and blueprints are for. This also just sets it apart from every other gatcha for me.

Endgame grind: again, love the gear system. No RNG roles. Artificing is very expensive and limited but how many things you can buy. But still like it. Essence farming is easy and simple. I just need way more sanity and tcreds. I'm so poor help. I'm trying to level everyone up to at least 80 but my t cred supply is so low.

Gacha system: I think it's better than most gatcha games. Great dose of dopamine when I pull that switch and it's red. Also great that I'm only pulling for people and not weapons or anything else. I appreciate the weapons being a separate currency and a separate banner.

Being slightly FTP (i buy the £5 monthly pass and a few 99p offers) I've managed to pull Fangyi (best decision), gilberta and laevatain in the re run. I missed TangTang (gutted). That re run banner was really nice as you can pull 2 limited characters for the price of 1 pity. Personally, I think the 1 origeometry for 75 oroberyl seems a bit stingy but I guess you do get a lot for free. Overall, gatcha pretty good.

Cannot wait for Camille. I need him for my Laevatain and my sanity.

Other Gatchas: I started playing Genshin at first. It was okay but the endgame was rough. It was the same with HSR. I was addicted for a while but then the story became like watching a movie which I'm not into and again the endgame was not fun. ZZZ was okay but just didnt stick with it. Maybe it's a Hoyoverse thing for me ahha.

I found NTEs opening cutscene really cool. However, the combat and just raw gameplay just didn't grip me like endfield.

Lastly, played 5 mins of WuWa. Why is it so badly optimised for ps5. Are my settings wrong? Maybe. I don't know. But damn. I've heard good things but it's seeming like a genshin clone with the font style and "sentinels" being like the gods and stuff. Might give it another go idk.

Overall, glory to hypergryph and the factory must grow.

I'm baiscally f2p but might get the monthly pass next month when the free one runs out.

Everyone is raving about Gilberta. Do I save my pulls for her to get through umbral monument (she seems really good) or do I save for someone else like that new vampire guy who's coming up 👀 or do you think i could get both? I don't know the maths on pulls for each patch.

I haven't got all the chests in every region or done all the sos bots so I still have a lot to do. I spent my pulls on Fangyi (do not regret she's so cool). Just excited for new people.
