Laryngitis from illness + VCD sucks

I feel like my breathing is even more restricted because my vocal cords are inflamed from the laryngitis. I went to ER last night because I also may have asthma but the breathing treatment didn’t help and they didn’t really think it was asthma anyways. Has anyone else experienced this awful sensation while they lost their voice?

Relief with Singulair (montelukast)

Anybody else have this experience?
Granted my doctors are still working on figuring out if I have VCD AND asthma…. But are more so suspecting it’s VCD. But so far the Singulair has helped me it seems. Idk if it’s because maybe my VCD is triggered by my horrible allergies or that I don’t have constant post nasal drip now aggravating it.

VCD on PFT?

Anyone know how to read one of these? Got this PFT done months ago. Does the inspiration loop look like VCD to you? The results read “reduced inspiratory loop”. I read that can mean VCD and I’m not getting much help from asthma inhalers. Also my allergy/asthma isn’t convinced it’s asthma as he heard the wheezing on exhale over my neck region, not my chest!

How many inhalers have y’all had to go through to find the right one?

I’ve gone through 2 (Wixela, Qvar) and getting worried. I just want to find something that works for my mild, persistent asthma.
