3 months in - Thoughts on rebalancing whilst avoiding selling

Here is my portfolio 3 months in. I had no (edit) knowledge of investing and markets prior to opening this account and felt a large hedge was warranted to ease my concerns about investing. I've invested regularly and have educated myself to a point where I now understand growth vs hedge and opportunity cost.

I'm after advice on gradually reducing my gold percentage without triggering selling via auto-rebalancing. Would reducing gold by 1% the day before my weekly investment be adequate to dilute its weight rather than selling?
