Hi folks, I was having a perambulation and found a Korg DSS-1 just... sitting there next to a dumpster for a house that was being cleared out. I talked to the person who had it and he said that it was his late mother's and does work but the power cord was lost in the shuffle. The other issue is that she was a smoker.

Obviously I'm going to have to get this thing cleaned up, but if I wanted to restore it are there any specific pitfalls to look out for? I know the disk drives have a tendency to crap out. Any other general advice for restoring vintage synths will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
