Thoughts and experiences on the criminology program/courses from UofT?
(Asking this for a friend who may attend UofT!!)
Hello
My friend is currently in 12th grade, contemplating whether she should choose UofT or McGill.
For a very brief context, she really wants to do criminology - which UofT has while McGill doesn't. Her concern is that she have seen many people talking about how challenging UofT is (too many tasks, harsh grade boundaries, high competition, etc.) and even discouraging people from going there. She's scared as she wants to perform well in university, and she's afraid that she will fall behind or fail (She's hardworking, but she claims that she's not gifted smart). Nonetheless, she's not sure what program or courses lead to those "horror stories" of UofT (perhaps the more "popular" ones like business or life science?). Either way, she wants to know more about the criminology program and courses at UofT. Is it as demanding as other programs/courses? How difficult are the assignments/are grades difficult to get? Is it more niche and allows smaller communities or connections to be formed? Is it worth taking? I'm not sure what specific answers she's looking for, so any insights would help!
I couldn't find much information about UofT criminology online, so I wanted to ask here. Thanks a lot!
