Is $600 a reasonable price for a main line drain clear?

Based the Washington DC area. Plumber said he would bring his 70ft line and a helper to clear the whole thing. He's going through the toilet in the basement and will fix the wax ring that seems to be leaking as well.

Is this a reasonable price for what he's offering? Thanks in advance.

Shower in basement backing up from using shower upstairs. What kind of issue is this?

I recently purchased an old house that was renovated with new HVAC electrical and plumbing. I have been having water back up issues in my basement with water backing up in the basement shower when running one of the upstairs showers. This water backs up in the basement shower then slowly drains away.

While doing research it was noted that it could be a main sewer line blockage, but this issue only happens when running one specific shower. Everything else with water draining doesn't cause the back up (including the others shower upstairs on the other side of the house).

For what it's worth, the shower causing the issue is 2 floors directly above the basement shower while all other sinks and drains are at different points in the house. Also, the basement shower runs fine with no drainage issues when using the shower itself.

All the plumbing is newish, being installed in a renovation 1 year ago.

I'm posting this in the wrong area please let me know where to post this. Thanks for the future help.
