(33yo) I was diagnosed with endometriosis quite a few years ago, had an excision surgery in 2022. I refused to take any synthetic type progesterone because it makes me straight suicidal, makes my acne worse, and causes me to gain weight. I felt great for a couple of years but have severe cramping, heavy periods, acne, fatigue, and chronic headaches again. That brings me here, finally got my gyn to test my hormones and I am low in progesterone (so low that I likely wouldn’t be able to get pregnant or carry to term). I was offered a bio-identical progesterone cream. I was told that I wouldn’t have the same side effects on the bio-identical version like I did with the synthetic version. Does anybody have any experience with this? I am absolutely terrified to try progesterone again but am willing to try the bio-available if I won’t have the terrible side effects.
