My mum, Maureen, had a pen pal named Gerald Roos from 1968-1974. At the time, he lived in Newlands, Cape Town, and his birthday is 15th April.

Her and my dad will be visiting South Africa later this year and she'd love to reconnect if possible!

She's dug out some old letters which include references to Grove Primary School, a pet white rat, and a 22.2s bronze medal in the national U17 200m final in 1974.

I thought I'd found him through the business Eezy Tow Trailers on Facebook, but a relative replied saying that's a different Gerald Roos.
