M1 International Track in EE at Paris-Saclay (Évry)

Hi everyone,

I was recently accepted to the M1 International Track in Electrical Engineering at Université Paris-Saclay. The program is taught across three campuses: Orsay, Gif-sur-Yvette, and Évry – and I was assigned to Évry as my enrollment institution.

I also applied to several German universities (TUM, etc.) and am still waiting to hear back.

I would really appreciate honest opinions on:

1. Programme quality & reputation, is it worth it?

  • Is this specific M1 International Track well-regarded?
  • How good is the teaching, lab access, and research supervision?
  • The program covers mechatronics, embedded systems, computer vision, and AI – does it deliver on that well?

2. Évry specifically, how good is it for engineering?

  • I know Paris-Saclay as a whole is ranked #1 in France for EE, but I am assigned to Université Évry as my home institution.
  • Does being at Évry (rather than Orsay or Gif) change how the degree is perceived?
  • Is the infrastructure, lab quality, and research environment at Évry actually strong for electrical engineering?

3. France (Paris-Saclay/Évry) vs Germany (TUM etc.), which would you choose?

  • If I get into a good German university, should I take that instead?
  • How do job prospects, industry connections, and post-study work opportunities compare between France and Germany for electrical engineering / embedded systems / AI?

That's basically it. I can speak French as i was a French-educated student and everything. I would love to go to Paris-Saclay! But the thing is I don't know a lot about the Évry campus, how good it is for electrical engineering, more information about the program or anything. If anyone can provide any information whatsoever about my situation, I would love to hear about it!

Any honest feedback from current students, alumni, or anyone familiar with both systems would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hey Everyone!

I am an international student, having completed my BS.c. in Computer Engineering with a german grade of 1,7 (according to the VPD). I applied to the MS.c. Program of Microelectronics and Chip Design.

I submitted my application in the beginning of March and now we’re closing in on April, about to hit May. I was wondering if anyone knows how long does it take for the admission results? How long does the wait take? Anyone got updates on when decisions usually drop?

Thank you!
