How to prepare for English CUET UG. [Only if you have a strong base]
I won't beat around the bush and get straight to the point.
I had my English exam today and shared a sub about it, you can check it on my account. Since all you lovely munchkins were asking me where did I prepare from here's my tips:
- Rubaika Di's vocab vault.
You don't have to burn the midnight oil and watch all the videos since you would want to be up with the larks and gird your loins up for your next study sessions. I recommend watching some specific few or just the nichod one where she has shared all the vocab of the previous year question.
If you have more than a week, even if it's eight days, ONLY IF please, PLEASE go through the S.P Bakshi General English book. Especially the one word substitution and syn/ant portion. You will notice it has most of the vocab asked previously.
Make use of Gemini, do quiz there. Aks it to prepare difficult quiz on idioms and vocab. Do it every night before sleeping. Specifically prepare color and animal idioms.
Mnemonics. Life save 💐
Fetid: feet did stink. ( Stinky, faul, pungent, smelly)
Terse: terse jyada nahi bola jata kya? (Laconic, pithy, precise, brief)
Meander: meander is to wander.
Squander: If you let your mind wander, you let your time squander. (Waste, profligate, prodigal)
Use the same for idioms as well. I have no list of mnemonics prepared. I too began my preparation only eight days prior to my exam. However, with God's grace it went well.
I have no advices for phrasal verbs, voice, narration, or figure of speech. These are the only tips I used myself. Tried and tested.
Have faith, it will take you to places you didn't realise you could be in. May God help you all in your exams. Amen. ✨🙏🏻💓
Stay blessed my loves. 🎀
