Is this true for everyone? It was like this with the early days version too. The current version also wipes the xp progress when you quit the game. The only workaround to this is the long way. You have to ONLY quit after you've slept after a whole in-game days work, or just alt-tab out without closing while your pc sleeps. Bit inconvenient, but no train-smash.
