PetSnowy 2+ year owner review
Pros and cons: After having the Litter Robot brand for just over 4 years, (**with the last few months being very faulty, sticking upside down, with cleaning it out, it would stick again after a couple weeks) we then decided to go with the PetSnowy.
Delivered January 23, 2024. It's been pretty good overall. Except when you're finally notified the bin is full, chances are you'll accidentally smear waste inside the base. Because the drawer literally sits on the floor, you'll have a hard time, like me, bending down to get the waste remains. I would have to pull it out with a garbage bag over my hand. The drawer won't close and that's often the indicater you'll need to do some serious deep work getting that out. Kills my back. Robot litters will save you $100's a year on cat litter if you tend to go with higher brands like I do. It never smelled, I made my friends tell me the truth if they could smell it as owners of stinky litters get used to the smell!! I didn't want to be that person. My house remained fresh upon arriving home as the PetSnowy is next to my entrance of a 3 story townhouse.
My final result. 2 years, 3 months, PetSnowy's power goes off.
My warrenty at time of purchase was 2 years. I've went 3 months passed that. They sent me a new power cord, didn't work. They asked for a video (which was a pain if you're email only let's you send 25MB. After video and editing and submission, PetSnowy has said our base is broken, (duh) however, it can't be replaced beyond Warrenty.
I looked online and they have lowered their warranty from 2 years, now to 1-Year!
What's that tell you!??
I might have considered using the company again IF I was offered a discount or coupon.. but I'm too nervous to pay full price again AND with the warrenty even lesser than I got it for in 2024, yikes!
Anyone in need of a giant $600 paper weight?
Now I'm looking for another company.
(They did refund the power cord we tried)
