Had to use my credit card for $1200
Just a vent:
I’m so tired and I really hate credit. I’ve been trying to rebuild my credit for 3 years now. I’m sitting stagnant around 620 up from under 500.
For some reason my insurance didn’t cover my kids dental work and I had to use my credit card to pay $1200 bill.
It’s not a lot compared to where I was but I just feel like…damn, I spent 3 years paying off credit cards and collection accounts in hopes to buy a house someday soon; now I just know this is going to drop my credit score more and I’m going to have to slowly pay this one off.
Also why the hell does a credit score drop SO drastically over a missed payment/ credit usage/ etc. but take SO long to get back up after paying everything off/down :(
ETA: yes, I know I can pay it off. I will pay it off, it will just take me longer. My point of this was just to vent that I’ve left a balance on this card at $0 or used it and paid it off for a while now since starting to rebuild my credit. I was not expecting to pay $1200 as my insurance should’ve covered the dental work, but didn’t.
