A hidden gem in Tuscany: The grand 19th-century staircase and neoclassical architecture of a historic library

Thought I’d share a few shots from a stunning historic library I visited recently in the Tuscany region.

The interior design features a breathtaking monumental staircase with rich wooden banisters, beautiful coffered ceilings, and classical columns that perfectly capture that dramatic, academic atmosphere. At the top of the stairs, a beautiful neoclassical marble statue titled "La madre educatrice" (The Educating Mother) stands framed by a large arched window, flooded with natural light.

The contrast between the moody woodwork and the bright architectural details makes the entire space feel timeless.
