Best SILVER 1x drivetrain money can buy?
Planning out a custom road bike build and want silver. I'm thinking 1x. My favorite bike I ever owned was a 1x with a 7 speed friction on the back. I want a lever-actuated shifter this time around, but I'm thinking of sticking with 1x. I don't care about cadence at all, I don't go fast, and I don't climb mountains.
This is going to be a "no expenses spared" build. I'd do electronic shifting but I'm pretty sure I'd be stuck with black if I did.
Based on my research, the modern options are a GRX group that was sold in silver a few years back or Shimano cues in silver. I'm also willing to go older if needed.
Id probably swap out the crankset for something prettier -maybe Rene Herse or something - but I still need at minimum a rear derailleur and shifter/levers.
Aside from the two I cited, are there any options to be aware of?
