I built a real-time competitive Wordle — you duel against a live opponent and the faster solver wins
Hey everyone! I'm a solo dev who got obsessed with Wordle during the hype phase, but always wished I could play against real people in real time instead of just comparing screenshots.
So I built WordDuel — a head-to-head competitive Wordle where you're matched against a live opponent and race to solve the same word first.
Here's what makes it different from regular Wordle:
- Live matchmaking — get paired with a real player by ELO rating, or play against a bot if no one's online
- ELO ranking system — win/lose changes your rating, climb through Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Diamond
- Multiple modes — ranked duels, casual, daily puzzle, practice
- 180 second time limit — adds real pressure
