Recruited blocked my number almost immediately

Recruiter reached out after inquiring online, explained my interest and all basic stuff. Engaged to be married before ship, 26, toddler with one on the way (didn’t know that on the phone found out between the call and filling out the form), good support system for while I’m gone, good physical and mental health etc etc. He sends me over a questionnaire with all the further questions, of which I was entirely honest. Traffic violations as a teenager, one ER visit for strep as a teenager, cannabis use a hand full of times in high school and a handful of times when I was employed at a legal dispensary in 2022, gauged ears but they’re almost closed all the way, tattoos but none out of regs. Was in DEP once for marine corps at 18. I didn’t get to write my reasoning behind not shipping. I was extremely pressured by my marine stepfather and marine brother and it wasn’t really my decision. I was a very impressionable kid at the time who wanted to make his family happy but realized marines weren’t for me. I explained this all to the recruiter before exiting dep and it was all good.

Listen, I know there’s a lot of paperwork/waivers involved with my situation and it’s much easier to just grab a hs graduate with none of these factors. I know I was in DEP once already but it’s not like I ghosted the marine recruiter. I was trying to follow up today a couple weeks later and my number is blocked. I wanted to let it be known I was hungry for this opportunity and hope he’s willing to work with me and that I’m more open to the Air Force’s needs as far a job is concerned than I led on in the form. But clearly he’s made his mind up.

I’m going to schedule a day to show up and express my interest in person. I may even call the staff sergeant above him before if it’s necessary. This is something I really want and while my situation may not be as good as an 18 year olds I’m damn sure motivated. Don’t know if I’m looking for advice or just venting out of frustration, but if you’ve dealt with anything similar how did you respond?
