Is the full hood xpel protective film optional if it's already on the car?
Working with a dealership that is giving me a great price on a Solterra. The problem is that there is a Full Hood Xpel Protective film on the hood of the car already, which is driving the price up $2000. It was initially in the price of the car and through negotiation, it is now under "accessories". That comes across as an add-on to me. I want it taken off, but my Dad says that's kind of a dick move, and it's worth keeping on, but I personally don't care.
I want to tell them to take it off or knock the two grand off the car to make the deal, but im wondering if they might say "we're not taking it off". Would seem like a silly reason to lose a sale.
Is it a dick move? Should I keep it on there on a brand new car like that? It doesn't look "port installed" either. I got an offer from another dealership that doesn't have the film that could beat it, but I would rather work with the first guy who quoted me with the Xpel film on it.
Not sure what the standard is or what but any help is appreciated.
