To be specific, I'm after a matching fabric jacket and trouser combo where the jacket has lapels. By "workwear vibe" I mean less refined fabrics (cotton twill, duck canvas, rougher wools etc), puckered seams and unstructured. Earthy colours preferred but I can lean many ways on this point.
Other nice to haves:
- No more than 2-button jacket if single breasted
- If double breasted, button stance not super high
- Trouser leg straight and loose, not ballooning, barrelled or aggressively tapered
Budget up to like £800ish but would be nice to go lower than that.
I'm also open to less actual work wear leaning stuff as long as it keeps the casual vibe and is unstructured.
Below are all the items I've found that fit the above, I could easily get one of these but I want to know what else is out there. Also anyone else who's looking for the same thing may find it useful.
Options I'm aware of
M.H.L. - Minimal Blazer + Sports Trousers
- Ticks all boxes, top end of budget
Toast - Cotton Blazer + Rory Trousers
- Ticks all boxes, a bit cheaper
Uksees - Docklands blazer + Painter pants
- Much cheaper, not in love with the colour options
Uniqlo U - Relaxed jacket + Pleated wide trousers
- Looks good and great price but slimmer sizes are also super short so unfortunately unworkable
Edit: forgot to mention Engineered Garments and Universal Works but they'll be obvious to most here I'm sure.
