RB951Ui bricked? 4th LED stays on, can’t connect to WinBox or Netinstall
Hi everyone, I have an RB951Ui‑2nD (RouterOS v6, never upgraded) that I was trying to configure. Suddenly it stopped responding.
Symptoms:
· When powering on, the 4th LED (from left, next to power light) lights up and stays solid – it never turns off. · No other LEDs blink. · Cannot connect via WinBox (MAC or IP) – timeout. · Netinstall does not detect the router (tried with firewall off, different cables, ports). · Tried holding reset button for 10‑30 seconds – no change.
What I’ve tried:
· Different power supply (known good) · Different Ethernet cables and PC ports · Netinstall with “bootp” and “ether1” only – still no device found · Serial console (opened the case, connected via TTL) – no output at all
Could this be a corrupted bootloader? Is there any way to recover it without a JTAG or external flasher?
