I would like to hear from people who use Marq to lay out print newsletters.
I publish a newsletter for members of a small non-profit organization (a nature club). I have been using MS Publisher for the layout, but it is going away. The newsletter is from 15 to 20 pages with articles submitted (using MS Word) and photographs from others. Most of the content is about coming events, reviews of past events, and a few articles about nature. There are photos from nature sightings emailed to me by members. The text is mostly two-column, with some one-column. I currently export the Publisher files to PDF files that are sent to the printer. I am a volunteer; we do not have the funds to pay a designer or buy expensive software (I can handle the cost of Marq).
Does anybody else use Marq for print newsletters? I am looking for tips, comments, or other people's experiences.
