Good morning y'all,
I’m just getting started with Odoo Studio Version for a small SCM/distribution setup, and honestly, the sales demos make everything look a little too perfect. I’ve worked with other software before and I know there's always a "catch" that shows up a month after you start trying to figure things out or go live.
I want to hear from people who actually use this every day: What are the common complications or "logic gaps" that a new user like me wouldn't notice at first?
Specifically, I’m curious about:
- The UI Friction: Are there common tasks that look simple in a demo but end up being a massive "clickathon" when you're doing them 50 times a day?
- Inventory vs. Accounting: I’ve heard rumors that keeping these two in sync is a nightmare. Is that a real thing, or just people not setting it up right?
If you could go back to your first few months using Odoo, what’s the one thing you wish someone had warned you about? Not looking for "it's great" or "it sucks", just looking for the technical or operational headaches that I should prepare for.
Sorry if this may seem a little all over the place but anything helps. :)
