Stuck on the file since at least morning (it's currently 7pm), is it normal?

Hey there, my pc died recently, so I pulled out the nvme and put it in an external encasement from which I boot with my dad's old thinkpad (don't have the time nor the storage on the thinkpad to trim down my os and put it on the internal storage). I started an update by running '$ yay' yesterday evening and let the laptop run all night because it was a big update with lots of compiling. Since this morning it's stuck at 8065/8506 files built, but the drive shows activity (hot + blinking blue) and the laptop is still responding to inputs. Since it might have been the drive overheating I closed the lid to put it to sleepbtonlet the drive cool off, but even after opening it up again after a few minutes but it starts heating up soon after and we're back to the first problem. Should I shut down the laptop and abandon the idea of updating?

Hello, my rog G513 laptop is starting, but the rog splash screen never appears and it's not booting. The keyboard lights up with the default setting and the power and airplane indicators are lit, but the screen remains black and the fans don't activate. Its not a screen problem, or at least not only, because I've already had screen problems, and the computer still booted the OS correctly. I've tried doing full reboots at least 5 times, but it didn't work, and worse, it didnt empty the battery and the laptop just started right after. I opened it to clean the fans disconnect the battery for 2 minutes, but alas, my problem persists. I've tried letting it charge fully before starting, and letting it run without stopping (in case some invisible process was being executed) for 40 minutes now. Recently the fans activated but they deactivated after a few minutes.

Thanks for the help
